This is part 2 of the last update, because apparently one batch of summery music wasn't enough. Same unbearable heat, different games, now with 1000% added humidity! You know the drill.

    Code:
Age of Empires IV - Age of Empires IV Main Theme
Finishing off the AoE series with AoE4. This game was composed by Tilman Sillescu, who I only knew from Anno 2070, so I expected another good OST. Instead, almost the entire soundtrack is atmospheric, with hardly any of the memorable ethnic melodies from the previous installments. At least we got this epic arrangement of the classic AoE theme.

    Code:
Granblue Fantasy: Versus - Noble Execution
Granblue Fantasy: Versus - Platinum Sky
Granblue Fantasy: Versus - Dragon Knights
Granblue Fantasy: Versus - Weißer Drache
Granblue Fantasy: Versus - Legendary Edition - Morning Light Hymnus
Granblue Fantasy: Versus - Legendary Edition - Peace and Quiet
Granblue Fantasy: Versus - Legendary Edition - Illuminated World
Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising - Armageddon
Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising - VERSUSIA
Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising - Dark Rapture
Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising - Heroic Beat
Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising - Rise to Glory
Adding some more GBF, because we can never have enough. Most of these were composed by either Yasunori Nishiki (Octopath Traveler) or Tsutomu Narita (a.k.a. Nobuo Uematsu's protégé). There's even a couple of tracks that were touched by Uematsu himself. If parts of "Armageddon" sound like it came from NieR, that's because it features vocals by Emi Evans.

It ain't summer without some partying, So here's a big-ass Jake Kaufman block to jam to. Reminder that the madlad releases his music for free on Bandcamp.

    Code:
Arc the Lad - Andoh Project - Arc
Arc the Lad - Andoh Project - Kukuru
Arc the Lad - Andoh Project - Gogen
Arc the Lad - Battle 2
Arc the Lad II - To Tomorrow
Arc the Lad II - Musicman
Arc The Lad III - Cheryl's Theme
When I first played Arc the Lad, I was surprised by how funky groovy the music was, even though most of the tracks were like 30-second loops. It turns out the music for the early series was composed by Masahiro Andoh. Some gamers might know him from the Gran Turismo series. I, however, know him as the leader of T-SQUARE, my favorite Japanese jazz fusion band.

    Code:
Dragon Slayer: The Legend of Heroes (TGCD) - Field
Dragon Slayer: The Legend of Heroes (TGCD) - Opening 2
Dragon Slayer: The Legend of Heroes II (TGCD) - Ending 2
Dragon Slayer: The Legend of Heroes II (TGCD) - Peace
Dragon Slayer: The Legend of Heroes II (TGCD) - Opening 2
Speaking of jazz fusion, it's pretty wild that Falcom had some in the first two Legend of Heroes games, back when it was part of the Dragon Slayer series. These TGCD arrangements were handled by Ryo Yonemitsu. Unfortunately, I haven't found anything else from him with this feel.

    GoldenEye 007 - Caverns
renamed from GoldenEye 007 - Subterranean Caverns
    Kirby's Adventure - Kirby's Dream Band - Kirby's Adventure
    Pokémon Red/Blue/Yellow - Y.W - VOLTECTION BATTLE!!!
replacing Pokémon Red/Blue/Yellow - Battle (VS Gym Leader)
Just like the last update, here's another bunch of summer-appropriate tracks, mostly from the classics. I replaced "SR388" by Cursed Lemon with a different arrangement, because the first full minute of the track was just a whole lot of sound effects and not much actual music. As for "Phendrana Drifts" by Metroid Metal, the metal was just too heavy for the VIP, so I replaced it with a track that has more instrumental variety and covers a wider range of emotions.

And that's it for now. Stay hydrated and fuck global warming again.
