Sometimes, the scariest thing is expecting something terrifying, only for it to turn out not scary at all. Well, this update is one of those times. There's absolutely nothing scary about it! But it's Halloween, damn it, so you should be pissing your pants anyway!

This particular update is just to balance out all the tracks I've been adding from Japanese games, so everything is 100% grade-A western-sourced. Most of it's just indie games, fan games, and unreleased rom hacks.

    Code:
Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve - Song of Wings -Rise Above-
Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve - Everflow
Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve - A Thousand Points of Light
Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve - Hortus Legis Alti
Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve - Times are Changing II
Let's address the flying elephant in the room. Ace Combat 8 just came out, and y'all know how I feel about Ace Combat. I had to add it ASAFP, even if it's a shitty gamerip. Technically, it's a Japanese game, but it's literally Metal Gear Solid with planes, so it's western as fuck. The game's story gets more emotional and personal than any of the previous installments. They really took it up a notch.

The music is much different than what you'd expect. It blends orchestra with classic rock & roll, going back to series' Air Combat roots. You still get some truly epic moments.

    Code:
Just Shapes & Beats - Barracuda
Just Shapes & Beats - Fox
Just Shapes & Beats - Termination Shock
Just Shapes & Beats - Sevcon
Just Shapes & Beats - Houston
JSAB is a highly rated bullet hell game where everything moves to the beat of absolutely kick-ass BGMs. I originally didn't add these tracks to the VIP, because they were licensed tracks not made for the game. Over time though, they became recognizable mostly because of the game, so essentially the game became part of them and vice versa. (I had ChatGPT analyze YouTube comments and compare popularity before/after JSAB.)

    Code:
Redout - Heat and Havoc (feat. Daniel Giagnorio)
Redout - Subsurface (feat. Daniel Giagnorio)
    Redout - Great Dark Spot
    Redout - Conamara
    Redout 2 - LARSEN
    Redout 2 - Solar Flare
Redout 2 - Dawn Of Fire
Redout is a futuristic high-speed racing game that is a spiritual successor to WipEout, which looks like a cross between F-Zero and Mario Kart. Except Redout doesn't have Mario Kart elements - it just goes really, really fast.

    Code:
Super Mario Bros. 4: What a Mario World - overworld
Super Mario Bros. 4: What a Mario World - Yiter - castle (FM Version)
Super Mario Bros. 4: What a Mario World - athletic
MEGA MAN PERFECT BLUE - プリズム
MEGA MAN PERFECT BLUE - ロックはNOCHILLがある
MEGA MAN PERFECT BLUE - 影のOCEANEYES
Here's a canceled ROM hack and a fangame that have been in development for a million years. They were made by westerners, so they count for this update. The music for both was composed by a super talented individual, incorporating some jazzy chiptune elements.

    Code:
ZeroRanger - Kenichi Arakawa - It May Be Greenish ~Maiden Sortie~
ZeroRanger - hasu - Sky XXXX Days
ZeroRanger - Eiichiro Yanagi, Kyohei Nishizaka - The Sea Has Returned ~Soaring Reunion~
ZeroRanger - ViRiX Dreamcore - Boiling Brew
ZeroRanger is a two-toned shmup with a crazy Buddhism-inspired story. The music's even crazier.

    Code:
Mina the Hollower - A Sinking Feeling (Loner's Landing)
Mina the Hollower - The Good Harvest (Septemburg)
Mina the Hollower - The Brilliant Truth (Radiant Manor)
That rat bastard Jake Kaufman is at it again. Mina the Hollower is a furry platformer brought to you by the developers of Shovel Knight. The music is the same 8-bit jaunty melodic masterpieces you get with Kaufman.

    Code:
Alan Wake II - Herald of Darkness (feat. Alan Wake & Mr. Door) [Radio Edit]
    Control Resonant - Manalan Mailla
Control Resonant - No Chains Can Last Forever
Control Resonant - The One I Once Knew (feat. Amelia Jones)
Control Resonant was another game I've been watching, not because of the game itself but because of the music. I don't even know what the game is about (or even the original for that matter), but games from Remedy always had some interesting musical choices. A bit disappointing that the Old Gods of Asgard wasn't in this one.

    Code:
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six - Planning Last
Jamestown: Legend of the Lost Colony - War Upon the East Frontier
Berserk Boy - Icy Echoes (Frozen Temple Zone 1)
Berserk Boy - Watch & Learn (Tutorial Theme)
Wiz 'n' Liz - Snow Land
BIT.TRIP Presents... Runner2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien - Superfunk
BIT.TRIP Presents... Runner2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien - Cloud Titans
Shadow Warrior (2013) - Shadow Warrior
Shadow Warrior (2013) - Gun Drummer Lo Wang
    X Rebirth - Rebirth
    X Rebirth - Nemesis Two
    And here's even more shit.

    Trick or treat, motherfuckers!
