This is not an update. It's just me wishing you all happy holidays! (albeit a bit late) I hope you're spending your holidays with friends/family, because without them, you have nothing. NOTHING! The Internet counts, I guess.
Did you know? The Vidya Intarweb Playlist was made as a sort of holiday present for /v/.
Let's listen to some appropriate music by Blake Robinson, a brilliant composer/arranger.
EDIT: Happy New Year!

Today marks the Vidya Intarweb Playlist's 4th birthday! Congrats to 4 years of hand-picked game music!
Misc Update:
There is now a Forum Games Forum forum! All the categories were stolen from Kongregate, because I know little about forum games, and Kongregators seem to be pretty hardcore about their forum games.

Here's how it's gonna go down. I'm going to paste exactly what's on the changelog.
And that's about it.
Why are updates so few and far between?
I'm planning on upgrading the current player to something that's not Flash-based and something that I'll be able to freely alter. Instead of using an XML file for the song list, everything will be in a database. Of course, I can make a script that would load all the records into the database, but I'm also planning on adding the original composer's name on each record, along with a system of tags. That means I have to go through each of the 800+ songs to affix names and tags. The more songs I add,...

#2 on Google!
That's right, the VIP is on the bottom of the 2nd page when Googling "video game music"! It's weird considering it's a Flash file and I've disabled any sort of search engine crawling.
Steam Group
We now have a Steam Group for extra networking purposes. More networking is good networking. It's an open group so anyone can join and synergize.
Security Update
Due to some spammers successfully creating accounts or posting anonymously, I've installed a tighter CAPTCHA that no bot can solve. Now, when you register or post as a guest, you'll be welcomed with something like this:
I'll add more images when I feel like it.

OPENING THE FLOOD GATES!
BOOM!
After 5 years of being forum-less, Aersia is now finally open to the public! Yes, it's been 5 years since I ran a forum. The previous one (Cosmic Collapse) had some irreversible problem with it overloading the server. I was forced to take it down after a request from my host (but not before I made a backup), and thus began a 5-year dark age. This is a new host with new forum software!
Why did it take so long?
I was never too sure why I had to have my own forums. (Yes, even though I bought forum software, I still wasn't sure.) I was constantly weighing out the positives and negatives, and was sure, for a time, that having a forum wasn't worth the cost of bandwidth and burden, especially since it would have nothing special to offer. At least the old forum had an arcade and an auto-posting and auto-learning bot, which made things entertaining. I was also actually pretty...
