It made little sense for the VIP to have Langrisser music without Fire Emblem music, given that their games are similar. Confession time! Before I decided to listen to the entire FE series at once, to my surprise, I did not have any FE music at all! So I got everything and put them all in a playlist of hundreds of tracks, which led to a month of listening to nothing but Fire Emblem music. It's a bit ironic that I was playing Langrisser Mobile while listening.
So without further ado, and in no particular order:
Fire Emblem Warriors is where the listening started, funnily enough. I heard it had some nice arrangements. Of course, because of this, I had to listen to them all.

Here comes another "featured artist".
So I was checking out this incredibly popular Eiyuden Chronicle Kickstarter campaign. It's supposedly a spiritual successor to Suikoden, created by some of the same developers. Who knew Suikoden was so popular? The only Suikoden I've ever beaten was Tierkreis. Yes, laugh at me for playing one of the bad ones. It was the only Suikoden on a handheld that I took with me everywhere, so sue me. In any case, I forgot everything about the game, because my memory sucks ass.
Anywaaaaay, I was at the Kickstarter page and the first section I looked at was music. Suikoden always had some unique pieces of music, but something caught my eye: Motoi Sakuraba was a mistake. Actually, it's the one with the weird name: Mariam Abounnasr.
This piece from this seemingly no-name artist surprised...

Hey, I haven't updated in some time. Why? Because summer's kicking my ass. Zero or more of you may know summer is my unofficial hibernating season, because it's too damn hot to do anything. Not to mention it sucks being all sweaty and sticky throughout the day. I also got myself addicted to Langrisser Mobile, unfortunately. Yes, it's a gatcha game and completely different from the console versions, but it stole one of my game ideas. Now that I found out it works, I feel inspired. Don't be surprised if I start slacking off updates again. Anyway, thanks for reading my blog; I just had to "vent". Haha, "vent", because it's so hot.
So I decided to do a big update this time and fill it the catchiest tunes on my update backlog. And what game genre has the catchiest tunes? No, not RPG. It's shoot-em-up, silly goose!

I've implemented a feature that I've always wanted to add; in fact, it was one of my initial planned features. Anyway, some of you may have figured out that switching playlists from VIP to Source while playing a track would send you to the selected track's source... track. Well, now there's a feature to make it even easier!
This button instantly swaps an arranged track with the original track! You can even keep it on the "sourced" track if you prefer it to the arrangement. Needless to say, this feature is only available in VIP.
I had a hard time trying to come up with a way to accentuate the sourced tracks, because even Chosen and blocked tracks can be sourced. My simple mind eventually settled on thick colored tabs. Here's a screenshot showing how the three features can work in tandem. If anyone else thinks they have a better design idea, I'm all ears.
Just be aware that the share link will still link to the VIP...

I love remakes, because it gives me an excuse to add more tracks to the same game and doesn't break my semi-strict and loosely enforced 3-track limit. We also live in an age of remakes and remasters, because that's what the fans want: nostalgia!
This update only covers Squeenix, because you can't go wrong with Squeenix music, right?
When I listened to the OST, there were a few stand-out tracks that clearly had an actual orchestra, and those tracks are the ones by Sachiko Miyano. I don't recognize her, but apparently she has a lot of experience. So ultimately, her...
