February is a pretty eventful month. There's the Grammies, the Oscars, the Superbowl, Singles Awareness Day, Black History Month, George Washington's Birthday, and Leap Year. And now, it's the very first TRIFECTA UPDATE! For today only(or yesterday, depending on which universe you live in(actually, I've just been really busy at work and this is the earliest time I've gotten to post this(but I uploaded the files yesterday, so technically it's still yesterday's update))), I updated three playlists at once! I even made the tag [Multi] just for this special occasion.
VIP
I decided to revisit some games on the playlist and found that I was once pretty strict when it came to adding tracks. So this VIP update will focus on adding some more tracks to existing games.

Hey, take a break from watching Star Warz for the 12th time in a row, I've got something to say!
Anyway, it's that time of the year again, one of only two birthdays I can actually remember! It's been 7 years since the VIP was first created. That's an incredibly long time in Internet years, and it still looks exactly as it did after all these years. Hell, YouTube looked like THIS around the time when the playlist was released. I guess...

Some of you may be wondering where I've been these past moons. Well, I just got a full-time temp job a couple of months ago. It entails sitting on my ass the whole day in front of a computer. I almost fell asleep the first few weeks, then I thought, "Hey, why not do something actually productive with my time and screen some damn music?" Turns out listening to music helps out a lot when it comes to the monotony of office work. No wonder so many people do it!

Aside from the smoothest of jazz, the most powerful of metal, and the most epic of orchestrals, I've always loved the most melodic of Celtic music. I was going to do an update on games with monsters and stuff, seeing as it's Halloween and all, but I decided to forego that notion and do a Celtic update instead("Celtober" sounds pretty catchy). Besides, Halloween has Celtic roots, so it makes a great deal of sense.

Whoa, the Mellow updates are becoming almost like a yearly thing. I'll try to make that not happen.
This update comes to us from a Japanese duo known as GENTLE LOVE, which is comprised of Norihiko Hibino and Ayaki Saito. Norihiko has composed works for loads of games, some of them being the Metal Gear Solid series, the Zone of the Enders series, and even the Bayonetta series. Ayaki has contributed towards some Etrian Odyssey games. Together, they make some painfully slow and jazzy pieces. These are just some tracks from their Prescription for Sleep albums.

As every gamer already knows, Satoru Iwata died last week and was funeralized just recently. I'm not gonna write a whole eulogy right here, as I'm a man of few words; and the words that come out might be a jumbled mess. I will say, however, that he was a glorious programmer who managed to rescue, from seemingly impossible hurdles, some of my favorite games from my childhood. Without him, Kirby, EarthBound, and Pokemon G/S wouldn't have been the same. They probably would not have even existed. So I thank him for that. I...
This is the only "RIP Iwata" picture I saved, because it features one of his most iconic lines and it's one of the few that doesn't have random bleeding heart video game characters. It also features the former leaders of Nintendo, happy to see their old friend. Iwata would want us feeling happy and inspired by his achievements and positive attitude towards everything.
